HandsOut is an app designed by a group of five Nigerian girls, all Grade Six students of Standard Bearers School Lagos. The app won the People’s Choice award at the 2019 edition of the global Technovation competition, which featured more than 19,000 teenage girls. The team, known as "Brain Squad", came up with the app to help less privileged children go to school and allows people all over the world to easily donate to Nigerian children and their families to help them pay for school fees, stationaries, and medication.

We were tasked with taking their brilliant idea and fine-tuning its designs into a production-ready product. Over a series of various meetings with representatives, the workflow, look, feel, and overall spirit of the app was carefully supervised at every step of the design process to ensure the original vision never got watered down. The final app needed to be exciting, inspiring, and vibrant to channel the spirit, personalities, and visions of the 5 girls who came up with this idea and we were delighted to go on this journey with them.
